ANXIETY OF THE MINORITIES

Although we claim to live in a pluralistic society that embraces diversity and individual freedoms, there remains a lingering anxiety about thinking, acting, or even appearing differently from the majority. This anxiety, often perpetuated by stereotypes and prejudices, creates barriers that marginalize those who do not conform to societal norms. With this film, I sought to explore the emotional and psychological weight of living as a racial, religious, and gender minority in a community where acceptance feels conditional and belonging is constantly questioned. At its core, this story reflects the deep resilience it takes to remain authentic in the face of misunderstanding and judgment, while addressing the urgent need for empathy in a world still striving for true inclusivity.
