Taylor & Tom
A Kalkan villa wedding on the Turkish coast, with a sunset ceremony by the water and a poolside reception
Taylor and Tom’s gorgeous destination wedding took place in Kalkan, Turkey, at a private villa overlooking the coast, with around 70 guests joining them for the weekend. The setting allowed everything to happen in one place, keeping the day relaxed and easy for everyone.
The ceremony was held down by the water at sunset, with a simple setup and the sea as the backdrop. Afterwards, guests headed back up to the villa for cocktail hour while we took a short walk nearby for couple portraits, making the most of the evening light and coastal views.
Dinner was served at the villa by Kalkan Catering, with long tables set outside. The speeches were a highlight — personal, emotional, and a nice pause in the middle of the evening before things picked up again.
The night moved into a busy dance floor around the pool, with music, drinks, and a lot of energy. It ended with guests jumping into the pool, wrapping up the day in a way that felt very natural to the setting.
A good example of a destination wedding that balances a scenic location with a relaxed, guest-focused atmosphere — everything close together, informal, and easy to move through.
